Maison Cardinal

Maison Cardinal is a fully refurbished residence where church cardinals once lived in Villeneuve les Avignon. Today, the house contains fine modern accoutrements and amenities, making a luxurious French getaway destination for discerning travelers. You will also find the famous historical site, the Pope’s Palace, within easy reach of this villa.

The swimming pool is nestled within a cozy of nook of an impressive, pristinely manicured garden. During your stay, you will have access to a shared night lit tennis court and a beautiful fifteen acre park. Inside, the well stocked wine cellar is sure to be popular with oenophiles. You can also watch your favorite film on the home entertainment system with Hi-Fi sound. Wi-Fi access, bi-weekly housekeeping and baby equipment are also included.

The red couches in the living area against the backdrop of the white vaulted ceilings make a dramatic juxtaposition. The formal dining area beneath the interweaving archways makes a romantic spot to share any special announcements with your loved ones or entourage. The modern kitchen comes fully equipped with a breakfast table.

Six delightful bedrooms accommodate up to twelve guests at Le Viguier. Each of the bedrooms features an en-suite bathroom, and five of the bedrooms offer air conditioning. Three of the bathrooms have been fitted with Italian showers, while the master bedroom includes an office, a library and a safe.

A little further north of Avignon lies the historical town of Orange, where you can discover the ruins of the ancient Roman Theatre built under Emperor Augustus in the first century. Or you can go for a leisurely boat ride on the canals that pass through Isle Sur La Sorgue, just north of Cavaillon. For golfers, the lovely courses at Golf de Servanes and Golf de Pont Royal, perhaps the finest course in the region, are within close driving distance. At this villa, you will step into a world where the old and the new flawlessly coexist in an idyllic French pastoral setting.

There is an old train line near the property (500m) and the occasional freight train can be heard.
