This charming apartment is located in a very central position, in the medieval part of Lucca, 50 metres away from the Guinigi Tower - one of the most renowned attractions of the town. Restaurants, cafés and shops are therefore all within walking distance. The bright interiors of Il Mezzanino are furnished in a very cosy style with great care for details. The apartment has also been provided with all modern facilities, including Sat-TV, stereo and a wi-fi connection. The apartment is situated on the mezzanine floor, between the ground and first floor (piano nobile) of a period building which has been completely restored. The very helpful owners live in the same building and are available to assist their guests. Day trips to the most famous historical Tuscan towns, as well as to the Versilian coast, are easily feasible thanks to the vicinity to both the motorway exit and the Lucca train station.

We would highly recommend this spotlessly apartment to families or couples. It has a warm cosy decor that is lovely to come home to after a day of sightseeing. It is right in the heart of the old town of Lucca and there is a great supermarket downstairs with a great Deli and butcher. There is also easy access to Florence, Siena, Cinque Terre and Pisa, the train station is only 10 minutes walk away. We had a car but did not use it a lot. If you do want to explore the country roads there is free parking quite close to the walls near Esselunga supermarket. Our hosts could not do enough to make us comfortable and the maid service twice a week was fantastic. The kitchen is well appointed and has everything you need to make gourmet Italian meals, The rooms are a good size and and our son loved the smaller 3rd bedroom off the loungeroom. There is no aircon but the fans were more than adequate to ensure a comfortable stay.

What a wonderful week in Lucca and in this apartment. The list of restaurants and other information was enormously helpful. We can’t remember a week of such incredible meals. It was lovely to be at a distance from the crowds we encountered in Florence and in the Cinque Terre towns.

The apartment is an easy one flight up to a spacious living room, very comfortably furnished.The kitchen is fully equipped. The apartment was immacutalety clean with nice touches such as individual packaged soaps, fresh flowers on the table, and a bottle of red wine as a welcome.I would highly recommend it.

This lovely apartment is tucked into an offshoot of tiny Piazza San Gregorio, close, but not too close, to the Via Fillungo, the main shopping/passeggiata street of Lucca. Everything in the apartment is in excellent shape, comfortable, and surprisingly spacious. And immaculately clean. The kitchen is more than usable. We like to cook, and rarely missed a pot or pan. It is our tird time there and it's pretty wonderful. I'm sure we will stay again.
