The pancetta and chicory pizza is simple but outstanding—you really can't go wrong here. The quite extensive wine list features many local Lazio options. The kitchen is kosher (many places featuring Roman Jewish fare are not) and serves meat dishes (so no dairy); the menu features an assortment of Roman Jewish delights, as well as Mediterranean and Middle Eastern Jewish fare. Enjoy starters like phyllo "cigars" stuffed with ground meat and spices, or the mixed appetizer platter with hummus. Forego pasta for couscous (the spicy fish is delicious) or baccalà with raisins and pine nuts. Down the street is Ba'Ghetto Milky (Via del Portico d'Ottavia 2/a), the kosher dairy version of the original.
