The Loredan is an authentic Venetian house on three levels with a truly charming private courtyard, located in a quiet street of the Dorsoduro District, only few steps from the well-known Campo Santa Margherita. In this area the general vibe is creative, youthful, relaxed and not touristy at all! During the daytime you can find a genuine open-air market for fruit, vegetable and seafood which all the residents use to shop. In the lively square there are children playing, locals walking dogs, good shops and cafes. In the evening several bars and restaurants are open till about midnight.
The Loredan is a truly unique home: spacious, full of natural light, elegant and furnished with precious antiques. In particular the living room is divided from the courtyard only by two marble columns and a glass wall, giving the feeling of a large single space. In the courtyard are found interesting iron and stone details, a fireplace and a good size table with sun umbrella, for great out-door breakfasts or candle-light dinners!
From the courtyard you can access also the kitchen where there is a large fridge with freezer, oven, microwave, kettle, 4 burners gas stove and an antique copper sink still perfectly working, beside all the basic equipment of a modern kitchen. The ground floor is completed by a small toilet and a small entrance room.
A beautiful wooden and metal stairway leads to the first floor, which is composed of a beautiful bedroom with 120 cm wide mattress, a smaller single bedroom and a newly renovated bathroom with large shower. In the attic floor there is a third bedroom with a beautiful baldachin double bed and an older but charming bathroom with bathtub. In total this apartment sleeps comfortably 4 people.
Amenities includes air conditioning, Wi-Fi internet connection, large flat-screen TV with Hi-Fi sound system and DVD player, autonomous heating, washing machine, hairdryer, iron with ironing board. Now run by the Alajmo family - renowned restaurant owners from Padua(earned three Michelin stars there) - the Quadri is one of Venice's 'gastronomic monuments'. It is housed in one of the most photographed palazzi in the city and adorned with stucco decor, Murano glass and fine fabrics. Beautifully presented, creative cuisine made from the best quality ingredients. Modern interpretations of Venetian classics. Almost perfect service. This is one of Venice's best. Get dressed up and go for the great food, atmosphere and experience, but beware if you're on a budget. The cafe downstairs, though touristy, now serves probably the best coctails in Venice. Very expensive, but if you plan in advance, you can reserve to have one of their tasting menus for lunch, at half price, by visiting their web page.

It is on the vapporetto line, the stop before Burano. Here vines are grown and wine produced, as well as vegetables. A piece of rural life, right in Venice. The restaurant usses many of the ingredients produced here and is just excellent. It has, indeed, earned one Michelin star. Not to be missed. Expensive.
