Villa Terme

Very well done 4 bedroom villa about half way between Florence and Lucca, near the spa town of Montecatini.

Tuscany-Lucca Area Villa 8

The house is a restored 18th-century Tuscan villa on the western slope of Mount Albano, with an expansive saline pool and antique-filled interior that make it the ideal accommodation for a family or group of up to eight people.

Cradled among spectacular views of the mountains, Villa Angelo is an exceptional 4-bedroom stone villa that embodies genuine Tuscan flavor. It presents a picturesque location for a family gathering or special occasion, and is outfitted with the modern comforts you require for a relaxing holiday.

This villa is centered on 18 acres of woods and olive groves. The living areas have been decorated with antique furniture (some pieces dating back as far as the 16th century), paintings, doors, prints and Persian carpets for an authentic atmosphere. Sink into plush damask sofas in the living room, which is dominated by a large carved stone fireplace, and topped by a coffered ceiling. The large antique dining table is the ideal place to gather for a special Italian meal with family or friends. Cozy up to the kitchen’s fireplace and savor a true-to-life, historic Italian kitchen that is nonetheless fully equipped.

After a wonderful meal, drift off to sleep under the soaring ceilings of the bedrooms. The bathrooms are updated with modern conveniences, such as rainhead showers and jetted tubs. Outdoors, the lawn is kept manicured and several outdoor seating areas create inviting spaces to enjoy a glass of wine among the olive and cypress trees. The saline pool features a large hydromassage area, terrace and changing area.

A smattering of terracotta pots full of geraniums add to the beauty of this ideal Tuscan villa, which is only a 35 minute drive away from the Florence airport, and 5 miles from the nearest 18-hole golf course, La Pievaccia. For a unique spa experience, visit the hot thermal baths of the Giusti Grottos less than 20 minutes away.

It was outstanding  10/10

This is my second stay. We had such a great time the first time we had stayed that we booked it again. We did worry that we had built our expectations too high. We also brought our adult children and worried we built their expectations too high. The experience did, however, exceed all our expectations once again. It is a gorgeous retreat in a wonderful area. I would highly recommend it to anyone. The owners are also very helpful, gracious and sweet. Phenomenal experience all the way around.

A wonderful place to spend time with our family.  10/10

The villa and owners were wonderful. The pictures truly depicted the interior and exterior. The pool was exceptional. There were four delightful areas for sitting outside.

This villa was incredably charming and a true taste of Tuscany.  8/10

The pictures in the online description of this property doesn't do it justice. Absolutely awesome setting, beautiful surrounding landscape. The villa's decor and property amenities were over the top. It was obvious Anna and Alexandro took a lot of pride in managing this Villa. My wife and I, and our friends who joined us there, spent several afternoons on the veranda overlooking the pool sipping wine and reminiscing about our day; abet being mesmerized by the surrounding beauty. Without a doubt, this was one of our best getaways!

It was fantastic...we loved the Villa and owners  10/10

It was magical and everything we hopped for. But here were a few things I wasn't expecting but it all worked out (electricity surcharge, noise issues with Villa next door). But we'd go back again. The owners were beyond wonderful and made our stay very enjoyable. I just had no idea there was another villa right next door, literally on the properly line 10 feet from one of the bedrooms. From the upstairs bedroom you can see into the other villa's kitchen and hear them washing their dishes.

No flaws 10/10

Amazing vacation enjoyed by the whole family!  10/10

The villa was beautiful and well maintained. It was a great gathering place to relax and unwind after a day of sightseeing.

A week on top of the hill....  10/10

We had never stayed at a villa in Tuscany and we were glad we picked this one. The owners met us at the gate and showed us around the beautiful property. It didn't have quite as much land we thought and there are neighbors next door (quiet most of the time however) and the pool was not heated. Other than that, we all had a ball! Kitchen is well stocked and the beds are great. I used the side patio as my cigar lounge and that worked perfectly. The front patio has the most glorious sunset views so all of the seating areas are worth using. It is ways up the mountain, but thats the fun of it.

A Spectacular Property  10/10

This is a really special setting. The villa is decorated with antiques, is large and gracious. The pool area, surrounded by olive groves, affords an especially magnificent view of the Tuscan hills and sunsets. Although the house has the feel of antiquity, there are modern features like modern appliances in the kitchen and features in the bathroom. I loved throwing open the shutters each morning. On a few evenings, hundreds of fireflies were visible in the olive trees. All the magic of sparkling Christmas lights. We also shared with Alessandro, the owner, how much we enjoyed watching a storm move through the valley and the gentle sound of rain and hail on the terra cotta roof tiles. The villa is located 3/4ths of the way up a hillside. A fabulous view, but the mile drive from Monsumanno is not for the faint-hearted-very twisty-be sure to use your horn at corners. All in all, we were thrilled with our stay. A truly beautiful property and setting.
